What is Moving Line Studio?

Moving Line Studio is an art education resource for people of all ages and abilities. The studio offers customized classes for children who are homeschooled, children who are in school, toddlers, preschoolers, adults, and people with special needs. Whether it’s individual or small group classes, everyone gets ample one-on-one attention.

Who is Moving Line Studio?

Moving Line Studio is owned and operated by Lara Hanson, a visual and performance artist from Saint Paul, Minnesota. Lara works with families who homeschool their children, with children who are in school, adults and people with special needs to encourage curiosity and creativity in the visual arts.

Before opening up Moving Line Studio, Lara taught art in a variety of settings. Most recently she designed and taught a visual arts curriculum at a day program for developmentally disabled adults. She has also taught art at a K-12 independent charter school for children with learning disabilities, a detention center in Hong Kong, after school programs, community centers, and art galleries.

Her passion for her own art making feeds her passion for teaching art to others. Lara enjoys helping others find and nurture their creative selves. Cross-curricular connections and correlating art-making and art-discovering experiences to the larger world are of particular interest
to her.
